what is a bingo dabber and what is it used for
Category: Bingo
A bingo dabber is a wider version of a felt tip pen and instead of the nib at the end pointing outwards it is flat. A bingo dabber is used by players in both bingo halls and when playing online to mark of their numbers by pressing down so the ink covers the whole number. The ink in the bingo dabber allows the number underneath to be visible. Dabbers come in a variety of makes and colours and there are even ones with a bit of sparkle available. You can usually purchase one in the bingo hall if not most super markets sell them and normally at a reasonable price. Just make sure before ‘eyes down’ that the dabber is not leaking as they can sometimes do!
Players are known to have a collection of dabbers so they can pull out the one they feel like using at that particular time. Some players even have a lucky dabber! They are quick to use and are an alternative to a traditional felt pen which players may use to circle numbers with.
If you prefer to play bingo online then you won’t be disappointed as dabbers can be found there too! There is usually a choice of colours for you to click on and they can be controlled either by the player or computer, automatically. So if you fancy a cuppa or the door bell rings you won’t miss any numbers and this option also comes in handy if you think your luck is in and decide to have numerous cards running!!
